Breaking: US Attorney John Bash Resigns From DOJ; Here’s What We Know

(Tea Party 247) – United States Attorney John Bash has announced that he’s going to be stepping down from the Justice Department on Friday. The DOJ hired Bash from the Western District of Texas office to take a look into the Obama administration for unmasking.

His successor will be Gregg Sofer, who currently serves as counselor to Attorney General William Barr.

“John has made significant contributions to the Department of Justice, including his service on the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee,” Barr wrote in a statement. “‘I appreciate his service to our nation and to the Justice Department, and I wish him the very best.”

Bash, 39, was appointed by President Donald Trump to the position of United States Attorney in December 2017.

“This Friday — eight years to the day after I first joined the Department of Justice — I will step down as United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas,” Bash’s statement read. “Last month I accepted an offer for a position in the private sector and informed the Attorney General of my decision. I tendered formal letters of resignation to both the president and the attorney general this morning.”

Trump on Tuesday night announced he has declassified all documents related to federal investigations into Russian election interference and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server for government emails.

The president tweeted:

“I have fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!”

Former FBI Director James Comey spoke to a Senate committee last week and stated that the inquiry into whether or not people who are close to the president may have worked with Russia in order to meddle in the 2016 election was done mostly “by the book,” but admitted that certain specific elements of the inquiry fell short.

Pressed by Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who said the probe was based on faulty assumptions and evidence tampering, Comey said he found the shortcomings – which included doctoring an email from the CIA – “deeply disturbing.” But he backed an inspector general’s report that concluded the probe was valid and not driven by bias in the bureau’s leadership.

Senate Republicans are trying to put the spotlight back on what they said was a politically motivated probe meant to undermine Trump’s candidacy in 2016 and, later, his presidency.

The debate comes after U.S. intelligence agencies have once again assessed that Russia is interfering again in the 2020 presidential race to aid Trump by denigrating his rival, former Vice President Joe Biden. Trump has said U.S. officials should be more focused on China, not Russia.

The truth of the matter is, there are individuals within the government who hate President Donald Trump with an absolute passion and will do whatever they can to defeat him in the upcoming election. During his first term, they threw everything under the sun at him, hoping they could boot him out of office.

Why all of the hatred?

Mostly because he cannot be easily bought and is actually carrying out his promises. Many of these promises involve the destruction of critical infrastructure placed by Obama during his time in office that would lead to a transformation of our country from a democratic republic to a socialist nation.

Here’s to hoping Trump is given four more years to oppose these folks and that those who are responsible for this scheme are held accountable.
