Historic Brand Name Aunt Jemima The Latest Victim Of BLM Outrage

(Tea Party 247) – Well, folks, it’s official. There’s truly nothing sacred in this world thanks to the Herculean efforts of the radical left in America, hell bent on destroying everything in our society for the sake of political correctness. It’s mind-blowing to think there are actually people in this world who think they can resolve all of the hatred in the world through silly legislation and the cultural banning and shaming of certain words.

You can clean up the outside of the cup all you want, folks, but at the end of the day, wiping the outside down until it sparkles doesn’t do jack for the filth on the inside. It’s still a dirty cup.

Due to all of the racial tension and political correctness running rampant thanks to the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers, Quaker Oats has announced that legendary brand, Aunt Jemima, will be changing its name, recognizing that “Aunt Jemima’s origins are based on racial stereotype.”

What a world.

Check the details from Newsmax:

The brand is 130-years-old and features a rendering of a black woman named Aunt Jemima. NBC News reported the woman was originally dressed as a minstrel character. The image of the woman has changed throughout the years.

The company said the image will be removed with the name change.

According to NBC News, the company has decided on the changes “to make progress toward racial equality.”

“We recognize Aunt Jemima’s origins are based on a racial stereotype,” Kristin Kroepfl, vice president and chief marketing officer of Quaker Foods North America, said.

“As we work to make progress toward racial equality through several initiatives, we also must take a hard look at our portfolio of brands and ensure they reflect our values and meet our consumers’ expectations.”

The new name for the brand will be announced later this fall.

Here’s the hilarious thing about this name change. Quaker Oats claims they are doing this to help fight for racial equality. However, if they end up making the name completely neutral and removing Aunt Jemima’s face off the product, a huge portion of the black community will get angry and claim they are trying to erase blacks from the business world and lessen their impact on the culture. Just you wait. It’ll happen. You can never be woke enough for the radical left in 2020.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution said the company has come under pressure to change the logo. The black community maintained the logo was a consistent reminder of the eras of slavery and Jim Crow, according to the newspaper.

Meanwhile, the company said it will donate at least $5 million to “create meaningful, ongoing support and engagement in the black community.”

At the end of the day, how many folks actually cared about the name of these products? I’ve not heard one single individual say anything about being offended over Aunt Jemima. Not a single person. Ever.

This to me seems like Quaker Oats looking for a way to draw some attention to its company by jumping on the progressive bandwagon. Guess we’ll have to wait until the fall to see if there is any fallout from this name change.
