Major Civil Rights Icon Just Threw Support Behind Trump For President For The Second Time; Liberals Weep

(Tea Party 247) – There’s nothing that makes the left more furious than to see important figures in the black community throw their support behind President Donald Trump, a man they have spent four years trying to convince the American public is a total racist. Just imagine how much such support undermines that narrative.

Well, for the second time, Civil Rights icon Clarence Henderson has decided to back Trump for reelection to the White House. If you listen real close, you can hear the sound of liberals weeping across the country.

Folks, it’s time to face reality. Modern day progressivism is Marxist and is seeking to wiggle its way into our culture through racial division. Henderson doesn’t buy it and neither should you.

Check out the facts from Just The News:

Civil rights activist Clarence Henderson on Wednesday endorsed President Trump’s reelection bid, saying he’s done more for African-Americans in four years than Democratic challenger Joe Biden has done in 50 years.

Henderson – who participated in the 1960 Greensboro, North Carolina, sit-in – also endorsed Trump’s 2016 White House bid.

“He has done more for black Americans in four years than Joe Biden has done in 50,” Henderson said at the Republican National Convention. “There are African-American voters all over the country who the media is trying to convince to conform to the same old Democratic talking points. You know what that’ll get you? The same old results.”

The Greensboro sit-in helped turned the tide of history in civil rights movement. Students sat at a Woolworth’s lunch counter and were denied service based upon the color of their skin as segregation was in full force.

What the Democratic Party essentially believes is that all black people are the same. That they are mindless robots who have been mentally enslaved and indebted to them and thus the left is entitled to their vote.

When someone like Henderson comes along and blows that narrative to bits with independent thinking, by daring to break from the groupthink and refusing to be chained down and oppressed by close-minded liberalism, it makes the Democratic Party feel betrayed. Remember, they feel entitled to have the black vote.

This is what makes the support of a figure like Henderson so important. It shows that there is no need to only vote Democrat in elections. People are capable of making up their own minds.

Here’s a bit more from NY Post:

Henderson praised Trump for signing the prison and criminal sentence-reforming First Step Act, legislation that incentivizes investment in poor areas and permanent funding for historically black colleges and universities.

“These achievements demonstrate that Donald Trump truly cares about black lives. His policies show his heart,” Henderson said.

The appeal to black voters follows similar speeches on Monday by African-American US Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and on Tuesday by Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. Blacks generally vote overwhelmingly for Democrats.

The five-month series of Greensboro protests that Henderson joined inspired similar acts across the South. The sit-ins began with four black activists sitting at the counter on Feb. 1, 1960. Henderson said he joined on Feb. 2.

“My friends had been denied service the day before because of the color of their skin. We knew it wasn’t right. But when we went back the next day, I didn’t know whether I was going to come out in a vertical or prone position — in handcuffs or on a stretcher, or even in a body bag,” he recalled.

“Donald Trump is offering real and lasting change … a country that embraces the spirit of the civil rights movement of the ‘60s, a place where people are judged by the content of their character, their talents and abilities, not by the color of their skin,” he said. “This is the America I was fighting for 60 years ago. This is the America Donald Trump is fighting for today.”

Here’s to hoping that what Henderson said resonates with others in the black community and folks wake up to what the Democratic Party is trying to do to us as a nation. Now more than ever we need to come together. Pray it happens sooner rather than later.
