Paralyzed Madison Cawthorn Delivers Epic RNC Speech; This Will Seriously Give You Goosebumps

(Tea Party 247) – GOP congressional candidate Madison Cawthorn gave a rousing speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday evening, urging fellow Americans to “be a radical for liberty,” as he, a paralyzed man, rose to his feet.

Folks, we live in an era where it is not only unpopular to be a patriot who loves your country, but to say something like “be radical for liberty” actually gets you labeled some sort of Nazi or white supremacist by the Marxist individuals behind the Black Lives Matter movement who cannot conceive of why anyone in their right mind would love America.

These individuals are so brainwashed by leftism, by false narrative about our nation, they cannot see how beautiful it is and how privileged we all are to call it our home. It’s a sad time to be an American.

But thankfully, people like Cawthorn exist to remind us that not everyone is like that.

Here’s more from WND:

The 25-year-old North Carolina candidate was left paralyzed from the waist down after a car accident when he was 18 and campaigns on the idea that overcoming his own personal tragedy makes him better fit to represent his fellow Americans.

“I know something about adversity,” he said Wednesday night at the RNC, describing the accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down and his fight to “make a difference.”

“I choose to fight for the future, to seize the high ground and retake the Shining City on a Hill,” he said. “While the radical left wants to dismantle, defund, and destroy, Republicans, under President Trump’s leadership, want to rebuild, restore and renew.”

“The American idea my ancestors fought for during the Revolutionary War is as exciting and revolutionary today as it was 250 years ago,” he continued.

“I say to Americans who love our country – young and old – be a radical for freedom,” Cawthorn said, as he began to rise to his feet. “Be a radical for liberty. Be a radical for our republic. For which I stand.”

Cawthorn has been experiencing a bit of controversy lately, as he’s been accused of sexual assault by several women prior to his political career. Cawthorn himself has denied these allegations.

“There is a big difference between a failed advance and being forceful, to the extent that’s possible when you’re a paraplegic,” Cawthorn campaign spokesman John Hart told the DCNF August 16. “If being guilty of an awkward, failed advance is a disqualifying event every male in public office should resign.”

Our nation is in absolute turmoil right now. What we need more than anything is a message of unity and togetherness, to remember our shared identity as free people. The Democratic Party has worked tirelessly to divide us any way they can. We cannot afford to let that happen. Not if we want America to succeed going forward.

Here’s to hoping more people boldly stand for the principles of liberty that this great nation was founded on.
