RNC Digs Up Juicy Obama Quotes On Joe Biden; You Definitely Need To Check These Out
(Tea Party 247) – Earlier this year, former President Barack Obama attempted to talk his former Vice President Joe Biden out of running for the Oval Office according to reports from liberal news rag The New York Times.
This, of course, isn’t surprising in the slightest. Obama waited until the last possible minute to throw his support behind Biden, which doesn’t exactly scream “confidence” does it? We’ve all sort of figured the former president was hoping for someone else as the nominee, but the Democratic Party apparently had other plans.
The Republican National Committee has dug up a bunch of quotes from Obama about Joe Biden and a lot of these are absolute gold.
“You don’t have to do this, Joe, you really don’t,” Obama told Biden earlier this year, according to a Times source, prior to Biden’s announcement he would run. According to the Times, Biden “responded by telling Mr. Obama he could never forgive himself if he turned down a second shot at Mr. Trump.”
When the pair finished speaking, Obama told Biden to not “embarrass himself” or “damage his legacy.”
The Times report was published last Friday. Obama on Wednesday praised Biden, 77, his “brother.”
“Twelve years ago, when I began my search for a vice president, I didn’t know I’d end up finding a brother,” Obama said during a live stream on the third day of the Democratic National Convention. “Joe and I came from different places and different generations. But what I quickly came to admire about him is his resilience, born of too much struggle; his empathy, born of too much grief.”
It’s a little late for Biden not to embarrass himself. How many videos exist of all of his gaffes out on the Internet? Is it even possible to count them all? Probably not. However, much of the fault for these gaffes likely lies in the reality that Biden is not at full mental capacity. And yet, he’s still being pushed to run for office. It’s almost sad.
At the same time, Biden deserves all he gets for being such an awful person for most of his life, so the sympathy doesn’t run too deeply.
Biden should have taken Obama’s words to heart. He is clearly not the same man he once was and is in no shape to run the Oval Office. Which is why all of this feels like a set-up. Could the DNC be pushing for Biden because they know he’s not fit and will step down not long after taking office, leaving Kamala Harris as the president? It’s very possible.
But that’s only if he wins against Trump. Right now, things look fairly even, but can polls really be trusted? If we take the 2016 election seriously, the answer is no.
Here’s to hoping that we see another four years of Trump leading our nation back on the path toward prosperity and away from the failed dreams of the current socialistic Democratic Party that is hellbent on destroying our country.
