What AG Barr Just Said About Additional Charges Coming Out Of Durham Probe Probably Has The Deep State Terrified

(Tea Party 247) – Attorney General William Barr delivered a statement on Wednesday that should absolutely have every member of the Deep State shaking in their boots. According to Barr, there is a possibility that more charges may come out of the investigation into the Russia probe, an inquiry that was led by U.S. attorney John Durham.

Barr was recently asked about the status of the current Durham probe during an interview with liberal rag NBC News. He didn’t say whether Durham is getting closer to the end of his investigation or not, which kicked off in April of 2018.

NBC News reporter Pete Williams asked, “Would you say — it’s unlikely that there’ll be further criminal charges?”

“No, I wouldn’t say that at all, no,” the attorney general replied.

“So there could be?” Williams asked.

“Yeah, there could be,” said Barr.

Barr also declined to say whether the public will hear anything about a report from Durham prior to the election in November.

Barr tapped Durham to investigate several aspects of the U.S. government’s surveillance of the Trump campaign and Trump associates. Durham has investigated findings from a Justice Department report that found the FBI abused the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act as part of an effort to spy on former Trump aide Carter Page.

Former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith pleaded guilty in the probe on Aug. 19 to altering a June 2017 email from a CIA analyst to downplay Page’s relationship with the spy agency.

Clinesmith admitted to adding the phrase “not a ‘source’” to the CIA analyst’s email before passing it on to others at the FBI. Page was a source for the CIA from 2008 through 2013.

Barr has said that Durham is investigating whether Russian intelligence operatives fed disinformation to former British spy Christopher Steele, whose dossier the FBI used to obtain surveillance warrants against Page.

The origins of the Trump-Russia probe isn’t the only thing on Durham’s plate right now. He’s apparently also investigating an Intelligence Community Assessment that stated the Russian government meddled in the 2-16 election to help Donald Trump defeat Hillary Clinton for the White House.

Barr conducted an interview back in the early part of August in which he stated that there would be “significant” developments in the Durham investigation before the big election in November. The attorney general also said that any such developments will not break the “60-day rule,” which is an informal policy at the Justice Department that seeks to avoid prosecutions in investigations that might be deemed “politically-charged,” within 60-days of an election.

Well…the clock is indeed ticking, so whatever major developments are popping will probably come out fairly soon. Can’t wait to see what they have, can you?
