Does Texas “Chick-fil-A” Bill Go Far Enough?

Liberals invading Texas? Because of a perceived anti-LGBTQ bias based on charitable donations, the city of San Antonio has barred the pro-Christian restaurant, Chick-fil-a, from their airport. To counter that and any further bias against businesses who contribute to causes of their choice, State Senator Bryan Hughes (R-District 1) introduced the so-called “Save Chick-Fil-A” bill, which has now been advanced.

This bill, should it become law, would protect the right of a company to donate to charities of their choice, regardless of political leanings, without fear of government reprisal…as enshrined in the 2nd Amendment.

Make no mistake, the Left will assail this measure, and quite probably Sen. Hughes, as bigoted, homophobic and slightly less devastating than the apocalypse. In reality, the bill is an attempt to stem the tide of communist socialism threatening to flood the country with the likes of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez leading the way. At the same time, it will protect the Constitutional right of people and companies to the free exercise of their religious beliefs.

Should entities be able to ban companies based on their political views or personal beliefs? Or should we simply let it play out, with the people deciding on their own where to use their hard earned dollars?
