Far Left Claims Riots Aren’t…Well, Riots
(RightWing.org) – Progressives who hold public office and their mainstream media puppets are heading down a very dangerous road in their way of addressing the arson, looting, and violence erupting in cities across America. Instead of protecting innocent bystanders who watch their livelihood go up in flames (all too frequently, quite literally) they make excuses for the mobs. Some are even going so far as to try to make them noble.
CNN editor-at-large Chris Cillizza has said President Donald Trump’s “desperation” in fear of the November 2020 election is why he’s using a trigger word like “riots” to describe the “peaceful protest” following the police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin. For a man whose business is words, he doesn’t seem to know the definition of that one nor that of “irony.” This is evidenced in the picture that accompanied his tweet showing two police officers standing in front of a building, peacefully burning its way to the ground.
Trump's efforts to label what is happening in major cities as "riots" speaks at least somewhat to his desperation, politically speaking, at the momenthttps://t.co/tQJ495xOZK pic.twitter.com/vs19vtCHiW

The National Public Radio (NPR) website has an article describing their interview promoting the book “In Defense of Looting” authored by Vicky Osterweil. She tries to defend the idea that this kind of violence is a legitimate way to affect social change, including the redistribution of wealth.
She goes even further when she says things like “[it] strikes at the heart of property, of whiteness [sic] and of the police,” and ruminates that “… riots and looting are experienced as sort of joyous and liberatory.” In short, she does not describe these acts for what they are, that is to say, felonies. Instead, her words seem to paint a picture of some kind of mass therapy session.
The funding and leadership behind groups like Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Antifa seem to be working overtime to take people’s feelings of sympathy and empathy and fanning them into fear, hate, and rage. But, if one looks past their words and their actions, then a more sinister picture begins to appear and it’s one that envisions a future America as something more like the now-defunct Soviet Union.
